Henan Xuru Food Co., Ltd. was established in 2009 and is committed to developing a comprehensive industrial strategy centered on the entire duck meat production chain. The company has grown into a group corporation integrating livestock and poultry feed research and development, feed processing, livestock and poultry breeding, farming, slaughtering and processing, as well as cooked-food production—a fully integrated industrial chain system. The company boasts three core business segments: feed R&D, breeding and slaughtering, and cooked-food production. It currently has nine subsidiaries and operates at an industrial scale capable of producing 500,000 tons of feed, breeding 10 million native ducks, slaughtering 20 million meat ducks, deeply processing 20,000 tons of meat products, and providing supply-chain services. Qiu Guoqing, a local entrepreneur from Wuzhi, Henan, currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiaozuo Municipal Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Henan Xuru Agricultural and Pastoral Group. He has successively been awarded such honorary titles as Henan Provincial Model Worker, National Leader in Rural Prosperity, Provincial Expert in Helping Farmers Become Wealthy, and Jiaozuo Youth Role Model.
In 2005, he founded a leading enterprise in the agricultural and pastoral industrialization sector. After years of steady growth, the company has expanded significantly, with annual sales approaching RMB 1 billion. The enterprise prioritizes hiring surplus rural labor from the local area, having helped more than 1,000 villagers transition into industrial workers. Focusing on the duck‑meat industry, it has guided over 1,700 local households to adopt standardized farming practices, boosting each household’s annual income by more than RMB 100,000. Moreover, the upstream and downstream segments of the value chain have indirectly created employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for over 30,000 people, effectively revitalizing the local rural economy.
While growing and strengthening his enterprise and leading the industry’s development, Qiu Guoqing has remained deeply committed to social responsibility, actively engaging in public‑welfare initiatives and the development of the Guangcai cause. Each year, he allocates nearly RMB 100,000 to charitable causes, demonstrating his dedication to giving back to society through concrete actions.
In alignment with the national poverty‑alleviation policy, six standardized livestock‑raising poverty‑relief bases have been established, employing an innovative “411” targeted poverty‑reduction model. To date, these bases have benefited 180 registered impoverished households and 668 impoverished individuals, disbursing over RMB 600,000 in land‑rental payments and equity dividends, thereby providing robust industrial support for local poverty‑eradication efforts.
